The main thing I have a problem with when it comes to this AI Generator is there is no playback button before you hit generate. Having to hit generate before you can hear what it sounds like eats up credits pretty fast even with 30, 000 words if you are creating lots of content.

Hi all - I just bought the $5 "starter" package from Eleven Labs, we sampled my client's voice and uploaded for the read. Here's some quick questions/comments: 1. I didn't see anything allowing me to speed up/slow down the delivery? Can't seem to pitch it up or down either? Yes I can do both those things in Logic X but it would be a great feature from them.
2. My client's book is 230k characters, so the $100 package is more than double for what I need. FYI that's less than $50 to get the book done - WAY cheaper than a real voiceover artist would charge. 3. Yes they charge every time you hit "generate" whether or not you use or download the audio - so we used short sentences to mess with the (limited) features.

Overall, while a real VO artist is superior to Eleven Labs, it's the best we've heard on the market right now.

The pricing options get very expensive. As a teacher for a college class, the readings are about 2-3 hours per week, which would cost me either $99/mo or even $330/mo just to create audiobook versions of the readings for ONE class.

😀I just tried out Descript's Voice-Cloning tool and ElevenLabs' Voice-Cloning tool using one paragraph of text - so this is my verdict.. In terms of closeness to my actual voice, I think Descript's Voice-Cloning does an excellent job except that I can still hear a bit of 'robot' in my voice just like other text-speech software. However ElevenLabs' Voice-Cloning tool takes my voice to another level, it provides a 'livelier' voice narration. It sounds 80% like me because minimizes my African accent and adds a bit of a British and American accent to my voice.

So, when you're trying to clone your own voice, what exactly are the looking for when it comes to uploading a sample of your own voice? Does it require a specific type of sample or just any random sample? You'd think that they'd look for a certain type, just being a programmer and knowing how code works as far as algorithms go.

This is dope, and thanks for sharing! I’m totally blind and have been an Apple user for over a decade. I’ve been very pleased with their accessability, and I’d love for them to add the ability for people like me who use VoiceOver, their screen reader for the blind, to make a custom voice out of whoever they want and add it to the list of VoiceOver voices on their Apple devices so they can use them just like Eleven Labs does.
