Further Thoughts on Shadowlands - World of Warcraft Expansion

So, I've been playing the Shadowlands alpha on and off but reporting has been much less frequent than in previous alphas. This is down to the much less time that I spend playing WoW these days. No longer is it the hobby that I spend all my free time on, now it isn't even my main hobby out of a bunch. But I thought I'd update with my general thoughts on the expansion.

Ah, it's weird to not hear you talk about politics now. Even though i saw you here first.
Also agree with what you say about WoD. I enjoyed it so much more than the recent expansions.

Haven't played BFA since like October, and SL doesn't seem much different. There are other games, and i got to the point where i don't really enjoy the MMO action of the MMORPG that much anymore.

Cool to hear you are playing through Baldur's Gate again, I am too! Just spent about a week and a half beating BG1, and just got into Athkatla in BG2. I had never played the Enhanced editions and I am very impressed with them. Installed a few mods to add more party interactions. Also playing Blackguard, I would always run Viconia because I want a full on Cleric in my party but now everybody in my posse is Evil !
Also I agree about WoD, people always run it down but I really liked the zone variety and raiding and Keep system. I definitely like it more than MoP and naturally more than BfA.

Still not sure if I'm going to play SL. Content doesn't look too shabby, but Retribution Paladins don't look very promising. Don't like the direction they went with them since Legion and they don't seem to change the major issues I have with the spec. And I am still not a big fan of these constant rental powers they seem to be doubling down on.

It is actually good to see you letting go of WoW. May I cordially suggest that you also give Warhammer II: Mortal Empires a go? I love it. You look really well and I wish you all the best.

1) The "Shadowlands" theme is not appealing AT ALL to me
2) that talent tier pick system is disgusting to me. Doesnt seem simple/easy doesnt seem alt friendly doesnt seem good for quick change.. which is what i LOVE(D) about wow
Call me crazy but i still enjoyed the heck out of Mists of Pandaria the zones were beautiful the dungeons and raids were entertaining as hell and it was so darn SIMPLE to level alts and change things up on your class... shadowlands does not seem appealing AT ALL to me
