Why is there so few physics teacher doing this experiment? That's a mistery to me. Pendulum is almost always used with a single pendulum and Newton's craddle which is much more complicated. This configuration should be employed much more. This is how third law was born or corroborated.
Newton knew that speed is approximatly proportional to the cord between the rest position and lower point. This would be usefull to discuss the choosen and obtained velocities after each colisions.
0:31 a moving ball and a ball initially at rest with aproximate exchange of velocities
1:24 simetrical configuration with oposite velocities
1:37 unequal velocities (lower ball has about half cord and speed is therefore half the other ball in the collision)

0:36 identical mass, elastic collision.... interchanges velocity, the one that was at rest now moves while the one moving comes to rest. im in 11th and i just wanted to see this in real life. wow thank you

he said "I am gonna let the higher one first", but professor, you should let them at the same time to make them meet in the middle, you know there is no relationship between height and frequency. They both have the same frequency (the only problem is air friction, which is not that important)

Interesting video. Also you could find a lot of Bowling Balls at Pro Shops in Most Bowling centers but you can’t get them immediately cause Pro Shop guys requires you to have your ball drilled before buying it.

sir-"as in elastic collisions, mechanical energy is not transformed into some other form of energy like sound or thermal energy". But in above shown example we can see sound is coming after collision. Can we see it as a violation for the above fact????

But what about the velocity of sound then???
Even though there is elastic collision the velocity of sound remains constant how this is possible if it's not possible in case of two colliding elastic ball
