The Silverado EV isn’t the problem - the problem is the idea of trying to implement a “work truck” in an EV. People who work with their truck don’t want an EV, plain and simple. Saturday Home Depot warriors want an EV truck, and they don’t want vinyl seats, cheap plastic trim pieces, etc.

The Sierra EV Denali, IMO, blows away the competition in features and capabilities. So GM is capable of producing a fantastic competitive product - the economics of a “work truck” on an EV platform just don’t make sense.

The notion of a battery EV truck is just a stupid idea.
Hybrid and even plug in hybrid makes a great deal more sense.

You almost sound like a fanboy. So you are saying that the chevy is more expensive than the ford because it has more range and nobody has a need for that. then you go on saying that chevy making a cheaper truck with less range is also a fail because it would have less range.

So by my hiuse they are selling the 3wt at $59k... What do you think at that price .. really thinking about dumping my Mach E for the Silverado or the Lightning...with discounts the XLT extended Range and the Silverado are about the same price

After GM and the dealer lowered the price from 82k down to 68k, I canceled my Cybertruck order. The price is correct for a stripped down version but still comes decent accessories. Love the 450 mile range. Hate the manual seat. In black, it's the prettiest pickup on the market. More power than any pickup I've ever owned. I am certain that it's capable of towing way over the 10k rating but wonder if it has to do with the torque and stress to the drive train or frame.

You know nothing about the towing capabilities of the Chevrolet. It’s the only ev truck that tows over 200 miles. It’s also been tested against gas truck pulling same trailer and they went the same distance
