Builds like these are why it’s so important for an air player to rush out scout planes. If that happened, your base would‘ve been pinged “defenseless LOL“ and a minute later there‘d be 30 hovers at your door.
Not that a hard eco build can’t work, I think you just need to communicate with your own air player or just ask for scout planes, then gauge how much you need to defend

If you put the lazarus on PATROL and don't tell them to reclaim then they will only suck up trees when you actually need the energy and you won't overflow any.

Great video. It's almost useless because it's no niche though. You need the 7 mex's, you need to not be in the front, you need the geo, you need to not be scouted, you need absolutely no pressure from the enemy team either from the sea, air, or any leaks from the frontline. So much has to go right for this to work (which is pretty similar to any backline success story). I love the build orders.

You need to have more energy storage to allow the calamity to fire constantly without stopping. Also the advanced targeting building will help the calamity be more powerful and more accurate

11:40 You could have also used the nano towers to reclaim the grass around the geo for some little more energy

Your plan is that their sea player decides to not scout and then not do...

T2 ships early, cruise missile your geo. Put pressure on the middle players.

Or switch to seaplane gunships and raid you really hard.

Or switch to amphib tanks and go up on the shore.

Or hovers.

Team communication is very clear to stop you haha

This way you will die at 10-12 min by hover or amphibious bots or if be very lucky, will be killed by group of T3 around 20-25th min. Also ships can kill you much sooner. (the moment enemy see you have no dock, they will rush your base asap by ship or other units)

Have you tried playing with combat engineers? I like doing this build for a powerful mid game. After making 1 t2 con I make 2 combat engineers, some times more if my Frontline want one. Then make metal storage and eat t2 lab and upgrade all mex, still spaming windmill or advance solar. Soon as mex are all upgrade or even before that depending on how the front is doing start spaming t2 units from my combat eng. I always make at least 4 fus before an afus. Great 12-13 min strategy some times the game ends with the first 5 gunslinger or just mass hounds or fiends.

Neat build!
I feel like if the sea player sees nothing is contested you can quickly end up with amphibious units streaming on your shores.
Some beach defenses could be a plus.
