Interesting info but I think Zillow is trying to get people to jump back into the market now, which generally seems too early to me.

Oh, that was soooo awesome!!! I have to show this to my husband. When you said about doing the poker face, I laughed because when I went with my husband to test drive a car and the salesman was in the backseat, my husband is so excited saying oh my God this car is amazing, look honey it has this and that. I look at him and he says what's the matter don't you just love it. I am the one that going to negotiate this. WTF!! So we had a long, very long chat later on about not showing emotions when you are about to purchase a big ticket item. I think I am going to have you come with me instead of him. lol. Loved all the information!! You are amazing!!!

Right on with the Thursday price drop theory. We're stalking 5 or 6 houses right now and the one at the top of our list just dropped $50k last Thursday. I noticed on Zillow's photos that the house is already empty so they've moved out. To me that means they have to sell. We'll go take a peak at it after Thanksgiving. Like you Travis I feel like the market still has to come down. I might make an offer on that house but I'm sure as hell not showing my cards just yet.

Here in Albuquerque we are seeing two things: 1) homes getting price cuts within 3 days of going on the market, which tells you the realtors are playing games, saying “me too” with price cuts, 2) we are seeing some homes that are raising their prices by $2-$3 k within 3 days of going on the market, which tells you realtors are playing games by pretending they have a lot of interest in the property, and you had better hurry to purchase, and yet it continues to sit on the market for weeks.
