My first time in a simulator was in a jet flight simulator. I accepted an office job that required me to experience a flight simulation. I thought I would be in a gamer’s chair using VR goggles. I was mistaken. Wish I’d known they’d hire me in the spot and made me try the flight simulator immediately so I would have worn something other than skirt and heels . The engineers failed to mention the simulator pod was for a jet flight simulation. After the simulation was over the engineers told me they were disappointed to see me exit the simulator pod so calm and unfazed by the experience, specially when they set the jet simulator on the hardest and more difficult level used by experienced jet pilots to impress me because I mentioned on my job interview that I’d been on some of the hardest rides at a popular amusement park. I probably should have told them that I was scared of heights and that I was tricked into getting on those hair raising park rides by my friends. Oh yeah, I exited that simulator pod seemingly cool and unimpressed. My doctor said it’s called being in a dissociative state, but I digress. 😬
I completed my job contract and totally forgot about until now. Thanks for the reminder.
