Losing a friend is just as difficult as losing someone you are related to.
Friends are the family we get to choose for ourselves.
Sending hugs to Jamal's family, Ed Sheeran and the rest of his friends 🌟

I’m a guitarist and remember playing a few SBTV sessions back in the day. Jamal was such a genuine guy, full of energy and light. He was 5 years younger than me 😔

His song Eyes Closed was a beautiful tribute to Jamal

So good that Ed Sheeran talking about talking to professional about being sad and normalize the practice. In USA, it’s quite normal. Going through divorce and raising teenagers, going to talk to someone about the sadness and the frustration are so ordinary here… Ed is so graceful of sharing his experiences. Kudos!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤❤❤

Ed has come a long way! Thanks for normalising the struggles associated with living in grief and going to therapy. RIP Jamal if it wasn’t for you seeing Ed none of us would be seeing him

I love how Ross talks about this stuff a lot. Definitely needed. And that Sheeran is open about it also.

There’s a couple of deaths of people I didn’t know that upset me and Jamel is near top of the list. I really thought I’d meet him. Inspiration

I’ve been trying to get myself to go to therapy for about 18 years and I’m just so ashamed. How can you tell someone else your deepest thoughts that you’ve been feeling for so many years. I’ve been on antidepressants, and while they help, they don’t fix the problem. All these years later I feel stuck in my life, incapable and worthless. I have no idea where to go from here. Hearing Ed talk about therapy brought tears to my eyes. I’m nearing my breaking point. Will this finally get me to go?

Great interview and so helpful for so many to hear Ed speak about therapy and how it's helped him. I love him and others who use their platform in such a good and helpful way. So sorry he experienced such a hard time. I just ended therapy for now anyway and it's helped me too. There's no shame in getting help like you would if you had a physical injury or illness and had to see a doctor. I really respect him coming forward including others who do so.
