Michael Jackson ~ Get On The Floor 1979 Disco Purrfection Version
Показать описание
I can't stop listening to Michael's "Off The Wall", I keep getting inspired to make another remix and this time its "Get On The Floor", written by Michael with Louis Johnson, famous bassist of funk group The Brothers Johnson. This is a seriously funky song and that phat bass line just doesn't stop. It is one of three songs that Michael wrote, "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" and "Working Day & Night" are the other two. Michael met Quincy Jones when he was cast as the Scarecrow in the "The Wiz". A single Jones produced from that movie, "You Can't Win (Part 1)" almost made top 40 R&B, but the movie did not generate much interest and faded away. He called Jones to ask if could suggest some people who would want to work on his first solo LP. Jones offered to helm the project and he brought in Louis Johnson and a raft of superior session players to make Michael's dream come true. "Off The Wall" was a runaway success, so it was natural that Michael would turn to Quincy again for his follow up album, 1983's "Thriller". "Off The Wall" turned out to be a dress rehearsal for the most successful album of the 80's.
