How do you restore the Wave accounting program to what it looked like in the past on a particular date before you made errors? Example you want the database to be exactly what it was before you added incorrect invoices. Have wrong customer's attached to some invoices. You know the start date before the errors occurred. You want the correct customer's restored to the correct invoices.

Whatever happened to them, they're trash now. They have no more phone support, and they even state on their website now that the average wait time for a support response is...wait for it (you'll be waiting a long time)...TEN business days. Ten days. Ten. And even then, the answers rarely get it the first time. I asked a question that took 24 days to solve, and it didn't really solve it, so I gave up.

The login has become ridiculous, as well. I logged in last week one day and randomly had to "Choose all of the pictures in which there is a bicycle". Really? It's my account and I have the only access to it, so this isn't some office where there are forty people logging in to use this platform.

It's not as intuitive as I would have hoped it would have become, either. I've been using it for about two years, and it used to be better, and they used to have telephone support, which is a good thing. But now they're just another online-only platform, and we're packing up to leave right now. We should be gone by the end of September/October, and I'll be glad.

In the end, Wave suffered from what most companies suffer from: They tried to do too much, too fast, and with too few resources, so in the end, they do nothing well. I've been there myself and fallen into the same trap. When I first started using it, it was perfect for me and my fairly simple small business and they did things really really well and had the support to back it up. Now they're so spread out over all of these different categories of services they are trying to offer that they simply cannot support them.

If you're reading this, folks from Wave, take note. Business services require support. The world is not entirely virtual yet, and real humans are still required to run a business.
