🌕 Here's how the MOON creates TIDES on Earth! 😮🌊 #shorts

Have you ever wondered how the tides on Earth are created? Well, the answer lies in the gravitational pull of our closest celestial neighbor, the Moon!

The Moon's gravitational pull creates two tidal bulges on opposite sides of the Earth, which causes the rise and fall of sea levels that we experience as tides. As the Earth rotates, different parts of the planet pass through these tidal bulges, resulting in two high tides and two low tides each day.

So the next time you're at the beach and marveling at the ebb and flow of the ocean, remember that it's all thanks to the gravitational pull of the Moon!

Pretty sure this is missing something.

To explain:

When a parent holds the hands of a young child and swings the child around in the air, the center of mass of the parent and of the parent/child “system” are not the same; the new center of mass is a little in front of the parent; that is why the parent must lean back to maintain his or her balance.

In the same way, the center of mass of the Earth and the center of mass of the Earth/Moon system are not exactly the same. Just as the parent is swinging out from the center in the first example, the Earth also swings a little the other way when the Moon orbits. So it’s not just the sea leaning into the Moon; it’s also the Earth “leaning” away.

The difference between centripetal force going one way, and gravitational force pulling the other way, explains the tides, because while centripetal force goes *directly* *out* *one* *way, the gravitational force pulling the other way is pulling *inward* *to* *a* *point*. The difference between general outward motion one way, and outward *to* *a* *point* the other way explains why tides increase as you move away from the tropics, because at the tropics there’s little difference between these two forces, while the further away you go from the tropics, the difference increases.

If this animation could be adjusted to show also this it would be priceless.

But still, I very much like the animation. I just want it to be more.

One of tidal amazing experiences i have seen weekly on Kenyan Coast, 1 weekend the waves engulf the entire beach area, and the next week, the ocean has receded back over a mile in sea. Beautiful white sands with ocean breeze🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️

real fact: it was the tectonic plates, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and rains and strong winds that shaped the soil and the entire earth, the moon is 1% involved with the development of the world, thank you for your attention.
