Great to see this novel getting a shoutout, heard about it on a horror podcast and just read it yesterday (finished in a day and half). Completely agree with your points .

I’d also point out the ancient evil’s looking doom or threat, a hint of Lovecraft - or straight up tribute if you make the link.

What I hate about modern horror books is that they are described as being grippng. I don't want something gripping. I want something creepy and scary and dark. =)

I started “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” a couple of months ago and I am about to finish it up here in a few weeks since I’m on the last page, I must say it’s very riveting and for sure one of the most emotional experiences of my entire life next only to my son being born and my son passing away, if I ever can finish it I have heard good things about “Brown Bear, Brown Bear and might try to fit it in before year end. I’m sure you know I’m just playing around lol, I love your channel.
