I earned my Medical Degree from UC Irvine and completed my residency in Dermatology at UCLA. Upon completing my residency, I joined the full-time faculty at UCLA as a Clinical Instructor and Professor in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. I then went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Dermatologic Surgery at UC Davis and Cosmetic Dermatology at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Northern California with world-renowned expert, Dr. Suzanne Kilmer. After fellowship, I was appointed the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California where I remained active in clinical trials and have been on the forefront of the latest advances in aesthetics and dermatology. As an Orange County native, I love the SoCal community and currently enjoy being a Dermatologist in Newport Beach, CA.

My areas of expertise include cosmetic dermatology with a focus on injectable neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), as well as dermal fillers (Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Sculptra, Restylane, Belotero, and Radiesse). In addition, I travel nationally and internationally where I teach other physicians injection techniques and about the latest advances in dermatology. I am highly-trained in the use of lasers and energy-based devices to treat all aspects of photoaging, including fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, brown spots and facial vessels. I offer a comprehensive approach to body contouring with the use of minimally-invasive procedures. In addition, I specialize in Dermatologic Surgery including Mohs micrographic surgery, blepharoplasty, skin cancer excisions, sclerotherapy, surgical earlobe repair and cosmetic tattoo excisions.

So happy for you. Im excited to try. I normally use ZO but will rotate out. Quick question ? I know vitamin always goes on first but since I’ve been using the ZO vitamin C, I was told to use it last before sunscreen. Is that true? I know you work with Zo as well. Please advise. Thank you

I like your videos and have learned a lot with you. So I decided to buy your MDAire Triple Threat Trio. I have to say that I'm very disappointed with the customer service. The eye and neck creams are okay, but the RXR Retinol Anti-Aging Serum caused my melasma to flare up significantly. My melasma was under control until I started using this serum. After stopping it for three weeks, my melasma subsided, but it worsened again upon resuming the serum, despite wearing sunscreen daily.
Customer support was unhelpful, stating no other complaints and refusing assistance since it had been over 30 days since my purchase. This response was very disappointing, especially from a brand associated with Dr. Kappel, who claims to care deeply about her clients.
I wrote a review on the MDAire website explaining this situation, but it was never posted. Only positive reviews are visible, which is suspicious.
I understand my skin reaction might be an exception, but I expected more support. Even if a full refund wasn’t possible, a partial reimbursement for the Retinol Serum would have been appreciated. I will not be returning to MDAire. There are better products with superior customer service available elsewhere.
