Anyone else wondering why the killer of the first kid was out and free on the following year?

The Skeptic researched this story. It started with a short article in a Bermuda newspaper. This supposedly occurred in 1974 and 1975, so you think that there would be some contemporaneous evidence — birth or death records of the boys, police reports, other newspaper articles — but nothing was found. The story later appeared in an issue of Readers’ Digest and from there has become urban legend. The Skeptic writer suggested it was made up to fill empty column space.

I had a crazy coincidence where a waitress at a restaurant I was at said she'd like to introduce me to her sister. She never did but a friend I worked with did by no chance of knowing. I realized this when I walked into the girls kitchen and saw a picture of the waitress on her fridge.

This is not a coincidence, the driver and his friend clearly had a grudge against his brother, and he and his brother looked alike, so he was like "what the heck I thought I took care of you already!" and killed him again.
