I bought a cheap 2021 Range Rover SVR from a salvage auction and attempted to rebuild it in 7 days. But on the final day the engine failed leaving it with a hole in the block. Now ive got to work out how im going to fix it before attempting to drive it to the middle of the Sahara Desert.

I think a lot of people will agree with me on this, Matt Armstrong' his Dad & the crew, has to be one of the best on YouTube. The input & banter that goes into each video is brilliant, there is nothing this lot won't

This is the reason why most guys will opt to watch youtube instead of Tv.

Even though most of us will never meet anyone in these videos.

Top class. MA never disappoints!

The Moroccan police are just so technologically advanced that they don't need radar guns to monitor speed

The fact that you can do all that with you’re father and best buds .. is priceless ! Bless🙏🏽

2 Videos to fix a vehicle and give a travel video. The amount of time spent to do that and then put it in 2 full videos is crazy. Love the hard work.

This content you've been putting out lately genuinely fills the gap that TopGear and The Grand Tour left open for me. Every time I click expecting a decent YouTube video, I get an hour long experience that feels like it's punching way above its weight. PLEASE keep this content up. The charisma between everyone feels authentic and genuine. Everyone just loves cars and the journeys that we take them on. I just wanted to say my piece of mind about you guys lately. If I feel it then I am positive at least a few others feel it too.

The content, the narration, the production and videography is 2nd to none and it keeps getting better! Surpassing TV standards weekly now!

This honestly has to be one of my favourite Mat Armstrong videos! Seeing an old Defender 90 and an SVR in the Sahara together was absolutely surreal. Good Job Mat and good job to the Land Rovers.

Any other YouTube mechanic would turn this into a 16 video episode. Props for keeping it short and sweet Mat!

Hopefully this video is seen by the Morocco National Tourist board.

Hey Mat,

I saw your video about getting fined for speeding in Morocco, and I totally get why it might have felt like a scam. But just to clear things up, that’s actually how traffic enforcement works here.

Usually, speed traps are set up way before the actual checkpoints. Officers use radars to check speeds and then radio ahead to the checkpoint, so by the time you’re stopped, they already know if you were speeding. It catches a lot of people off guard!

As for the fines, they follow a fixed system:

If the speed limit is 60 km/h and you were going 80 km/h (20 km over), the fine is 300 DH.
If you were going 70 km/h (10 km over), the fine is 150 DH.
Also, if you ever get stopped for speeding, you have the right to ask for the radar image that shows your actual speed. This way, you can verify it yourself before paying the fine.

It’s the same system for everyone, locals and tourists alike. Hope that clears things up! Safe travels, and enjoy Morocco!

From a car park in lockdown to travelling the world doing what you love with friends and family. What a life you have created for yourself and your team.

Another great video. Thanks again. I know someone probably already commented, but just in case. Tire pressure should have been at least halved and on sand 1/3 ish depending on tire. Obviously, you can't do burn outs at this pressure, but you are less likely to get bogged. Also, once bogged, rock the car back and forth using engine to go one way, people pushing other way. If by yourself, there is a method that varies, so research please due to transmission, and soil surface area bogged in. Once a good momentum gets going, try and drive here out of the depression. In most cases, reversing out works best. And last bit of advise. Get some elastic snatch straps for the backup car. Get a cheap hand winch. In the sand, you bury the spare tire as an anchor point to winch the car out. Can save your car and your life. I'm from Australia and was brought up off roading so this advice is only from my experiences. But we used them often.

I’ve always wanted to go to Morocco. After seeing how they rob visitors I don’t think I’ll bother now!

My girlfriend and I were also in Morocco last year. We did exactly the same thing with it. After about 5 police stops where they always got angry when we stopped completely, we continued rolling very slowly at the next one. Then after a few stops a cop got angry and said you always have to stop and that we had to pay him a fine. First he asked how much we had. I had read up and said less than i actually had and then he said okay, that amount is your fine. It made me cranky for the rest of the day. The country is very beautiful but everyone is out to make money from you, , , , Thanks Matt for all of your video's! I like every one of them. Keep up the good work <3

As a mechanic, the amount of effort and time used to repair these cars is massive. Mat you're doing a great job
