With Donald Trump announcing that he has no interest in debating Kamala Harris on ABC in September, it appears increasingly likely that the pair will not face-off in a debate ahead of the election in November.

Trump did NOT pull out of the debate. The debate was to be between Trump and Biden. When Biden withdrew the agreement ended. If I make a deal with my neighbor and he sells his house that agreement ends with the sale, it does not pass over to the new owner unless it was in a contract. Let Trump and Harris make another debate deal.

Let's say I agree to go on a date with one guy, we set the time and place etc. Then he can't make it, but his friend can. If what world would I be expected to go on the date? However it' s dressed up, the debate is most unlikely to happen. Trump would definitely not want to debate someone who wants to focus on policies as his method of debate relies almost exclusively on personality politics now. And Harris is most unlikely to put up with that.
