Woman dies after backing into plane propeller while taking photos

Amanda Gallagher was on the plane to snap photos of skydivers, and she rode the plane back down after the skydivers jumped, according to Air Capital Drop Zone, where the incident took place.

When I took flying lessons, I was taught that no one gets out of the plane until the propellor stops. I guess that's not in the regs, but sure seems like a good SOP.

Woke up in agony ... fell while walking and looking at my phone ... a week later still in agony with a smashed knee .... NEVER GOING TO COMPLAIN after watching this video ... Bad thing about taking pics is paying too much attention to what's in front of you and ignoring everything else

Saw a video of a woman that walked behind a helicopter. Tail blades hit her and cut her about in half. People have died looking at their cell phone. Not saying this woman was using a cell phone - could have been a regular camera. As an electrician working in industrial plants, I had to always be aware of everything around me, and expecially when working in live switch gear.

Rule one in flight school is to never leave a plane while the propeller/engines are running. Another reminder at how precious life is. Prayers to her family and BF.
