Thanks, That gives me a little of the basics. You always want to have the basics before proceeding into advanced.
I have a strong passion for electronics; I set up, install, and service electronics in my work, as well in my hobbies, where the creativity is endless. A pool and spa service technician 30 years, I see pumps, heaters, controllers, stereos, speakers, chlorine generators, safety monitoring equip, PH and ORP sensors, sensors of all kinds, temp, pressure, bla. bla, bla
I see a lot of ozinators. I have a collection of various types; models.
I don't like throwing them away, so I try to break down and recycle, repurpose as much as I can. Some of these ozinators are Corona Discharge O2 generators, while others use ultraviolet light to produce O2. I have a collection of 5000V transformers, that will produce a corona discharge that can jump almost 1/4". (aside) combining 5000V transformers series, or parallel?
The corona discharge ozinators also have high voltage output, but I can't find a rating. I could probably guess by how big a gap it can jump.
My multimeters don't go up to 1000V.
I found the answer to my question how much power is required to create corona. The first thing you covered.
