I like this dude because he clearly enjoys driving his 911 more than he enjoys owning his 911.

My dad left me his 79’ 930. It’s in the shop being restored right now and hope to have it back in the next few weeks. I’ve never actually driven it and I’m watching EVERYTHING to try and prepare for that

When I was a kid, I would wake up looking forward to cartoons on Saturday morning. now I wake up looking forward to Will's video. The 930 was my dream car when I was a teenager and realized it when I bought my 993 Turbo.

Well, that is certainly an enthusiastic gentleman who didn't just buy a 930 for prestige. Very refreshing. Thanks for sharing! This beauty must be driven, bravo 🥳

Interesting touch to do the interview in the parking lot of a cemetery. Really informative. Great, down to earth, knowledgeable driver-owner. Beautiful 930. Subscribed.

I have had my 1987 930 for 24 years and I am the second owner. The car is solid today as it was 35+ years ago. I purchased the car for a song and it is worth stupid money now even after putting 45K miles on it.

Great video. I love what chuck said, a good 911 driver should be aggressive but humble.

The 930 is such a striking car. I think it just has to do with the small 911 chassis complete with the narrow and lean cockpit middle section making those fenders even more beautiful. I think the controllability of the cars now has a lot to do with modern tires. My performance cars in the 80's came with tires that had harder compounds than all season tires have now.

@8:18 -- It's a powerful car _and_ it's much lighter than the "land yachts" people were accustomed to in the 70's.

1982 Porsche 930 Turbo (European Specs-Grey Market in the U.S.) in RARE Guards Red on Red (Two Color-Red on Red Leather Seats with Black Dashboard) was mine (1982-1985). This Porsche had been known in South Florida as the quickest and Best Looking Porsche on the roads there. The acceleration was incredible off the line, from my experiences, quicker than a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Always great hearing it direct from an owners viewpoint. Any 911 demands respect and your full attention when driving. I guess that could be said about any top notch sports car though. 👍

fantastic stuff, great video, great car and great owner too.
These must be rare as the only other one ive seen is my old boss's 930 widebody turbo in guards red which had the red carpet and full red interior it was stunning!
Ill never forget this detail about it: and ive never seen another car with it: on the dasboard there was a handbrake light which was larger than the one in this video and it had a german word across the centre of it? it really stood out to me as i thought it was just uber german cool! 👍👍👍👍

Stunning car, thank you! Really appreciate the 'Meet The Owner' videos on the Rennthusiast channel. Also, many thanks to this owner for generously showcasing his 930 Turbo and telling us about his experiences owning and driving such an icon, of the Porsche brand itself and in the total, automotive history, a poster car for sure. And regarding the title of your video, I don't know if the interview setting was by intention or a coincidence, but anyways, a cool touch. Thank you again, a true Saturday staple, brand new Rennthusiast video 👍

What a machine! A timeless work of art.

LOL. After driving a mid-engined car for years, I was surprised at how a front-engined car with rwd plowed instead of the expected over-steer.

Great video about a enthusiastic owner and his beautiful car.
Like you I've never seen another red/red 930.
My 86 is a non sunroof (slick top) guards red with full burgundy interior. It has a few other interesting options as well to make me believe that someone must have chosen these things specifically when it was new.I've never seen this combination again anywhere.

Will, enjoyable video. There is something very attractive about the nostalgia and build quality of these old Porsches. That’s what keeps me hanging onto my 87 3.2. Enjoy your channel. Thank you.
