Terrorist attacks during UPA era

2005 Delhi serial blasts - Three blasts ripped through the national capital just two days before Diwali on October 29, 2005, killing 67 innocent people and injuring over 200. The terrorists had planted bombs in bags at the busy markets of Sarojini Nagar and Paharganj and a DTC bus.

2006 Bombay train blast - Seven serial blasts ripped through Mumbai's suburban railway network at peak hour on July 11, 2006, leaving at least 147 dead and several injured. The death toll rose to 189 later.

2007 Samjhauta Express bombing - The 2007 Samjhauta Express bombing was a terrorist attack that occurred around midnight on 18 February 2007 on the Samjhauta Express, a twice-weekly train service connecting Delhi, India, and Lahore, Pakistan.

2008 Assam bombings - The 2008 Assam bombings occurred on 30 October 2008, before noon in markets in Guwahati city and the surrounding area of western Assam. Reports indicated as many as eighteen bombs went off, causing at least 81 deaths and 470 injuries.

2007 Hyderabad Mecca Masjid Bombing - The Mecca Masjid blast occurred on May 18, 2007 inside the Mecca Masjid, (or "Makkah Masjid") a mosque located in the old city area of Hyderabad, capital of the Telengana located very close to harminar. Sixteen people were reported dead in the immediate aftermath, of whom five were killed by the police firing after the incident while trying to quell the mob.

2007 Hyderabad August bombing - In a major terror strike, 42 persons were killed and about 50 injured in two powerful near-simultaneous blasts at a crowded park and a popular eating joint in Hyderabad on Saturday evening.

Thirty-two people died when an explosion ripped through Gokul Chat Shop at Kothi locality at around 7.50 pm, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy told reporters in Hyderabad. Around 21 persons were wounded in this blast.

In another blast five minutes earlier at the Lumbini amusement park five km away, 10 people perished in a blast when a laser show was on, he said. The amusement park is situated near the state secretariat in the heart of the city.

2010 Pune German Bakery Bombing - In a major terror strike after the November 26, 2008 carnage in Mumbai, nine persons including four foreigners, all women, were killed and over 40 injured in a bomb blast which ravaged the famous German Bakery on North Main Avenue in Pune's Koregaon Park near the Osho Ashram around 7.30 pm on Saturday. Unofficial figures put the number of injured at 50.

2008 Ahmedabad Bombing - All the bombs in Ahmedabad exploded within the space of an hour. They detonated in the midst of teeming bazaars, congested neighbourhoods and outside hospitals, which were tending the injured from the first blasts. While the death toll rose to 45, at least 160 people were wounded in the relatively affluent, Muslim-dominated city, including many women and children.

2011 New Delhi bombing - A bomb apparently hidden in a briefcase has exploded outside India's high court in New Delhi, killing 10 and wounding at least 45.

2008 Mumbai bombing - The big daddy of all bombings in India.The 2008 Mumbai attack saw ten heavily-armed terrorists attacking the city's landmark areas like the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the Oberoi Trident, the Taj Hotel, Leopold Cafe and Cama Hospital, among others. In one of the most horrific terrorist attacks on the soil of India, 166 people were killed and over 300 were injured when ten heavily-armed terrorists from Pakistan ran a rampage in Mumbai nine years ago.

So I think the BJP is successful in limiting the terrorist organizations to only Jammu and Kashmir.
