I have been to India 11 times. Most of my family lives there (around 90%; from Himachal to Up). I can tell you that poverty is more widespread and deep rooted in India in comparison to Pakistan. The latest World Bank's report on poverty endorses this assertion of mine.
Regarding the fighting capacity and spirit, Pakistan has never lost any war on its western front.
