I have a d90 with a 35 mm lens and it is an absolute world-class camera. In spite of its age it is still perfectly capable of making stunningly beautiful images.

I just bought one. My first camera. This video makes me feel a lot better 😊

The D90 was the first DSLR to shoot video. I think that makes it a collectors item. I have had mine since 2009 (Best buy open box) + the 18-200, lots of fun. The in-camera editing functions are excellent, especially for distortion correction.
I was lucky enough to visit Akihabara, Tokyo in the late 70's, where $300 US got me a Nikon FM, Zoom lense, motor wind and flash. Very heavy, but good for stability. My first camera was a Nikomat that was sadly stolen while touring Spain, so upon arriving in Brazil I sold the camera, et al for $1, 000 before it could be stolen.

I was recently given a D90 from a family member and I am a novice but very excited to learn with this camera. I really appreciate this video. I’ve learned a great deal. Thank you.

Brilliant. Just did the same thing for the same reasons having had one years ago. I traded in a load of point and shoots and other electronics in, got a voucher and bought one of these with the 35mm. It cost me nothing. I completely agree on all your points. Awesome camera: size, weight, image quality, build quality, sd card, price etc plus the fact all the buttons and wheels that you need at your fingertips. It all adds up to what is still a gem #dslrisnotdead 😁

I received that camera from my mom who used to do photography. Have been doing so many amazing photos with it. I use it for personal and professional use. It's a wonderful camera!!! I love it :)

Here with my D90. I got it 2 years ago. i know very little about photography composition but this camera is a great teacher for fundamentals, I bought it for astrophotography, i use a newtonian telescope since this camera boasts a 23.6mm x 15.8mm sensor, converts to 1.12-inch diagonal sensor length i need it to catch as many photons as a i can, long exposure times, staking lots of images in post process so the bigger sensor you have for deep sky objects like nebules, galaxies, star clusters, the better, the photons habe a hard time to penetrate the atmosphere .Acording to internet this sensor is more than twice the size of the 1/1.8 sensor found in samsung SC HMX20 that currently has the largest CMOS sensor for consumer camcorder

I have had my D90 for at least 13 years. Before that I had my Nikon film camera. My lenses are over 30 years old, lol. I love this camera so much! I came on here to see about using this camera to vlog.

D90 is beefy and versatile. I had it stashed away for a few years and enjoying getting back into capturing great shots with this work dog. I agree- the body and lenses are sturdy and used to carry this piece with me everywhere to take some really fun and serious shots. Need to take your advice and see about picking up some additional lenses. SD card is a no-brainer and definitely a treat to have the optical view finder in addition to the display screen in most situations. Thanks for the video!

I was still used to take photos with my faithful analog camera, NikonFM2, when my friend proded me to shift to digital photography. He recommended Nikon D90 and I bought that stuff with a Nikon 18-105 mm Kit Lens in April2011. It put a big hole in my pocket as that time the cost of the whole set in Calcutta (India) was Rs.49000. Gradually I got used to D90 with satisfaction. Since I have deformity in my legs I often topple. So also my D90 with severity. But its robustness absorbs all the shocks surprisingly. Camera technology and features got a sea change in the last 12 years. But my dear old D90 is still faithful to me.

Awesome VERY WELL put together vid!!I agree 100%!My Father passed away 2 months ago& He also had the D90 AND a D300!🥰😁He had a photography business, BUT had a really bad stroke an had to give up his photo-bizz!😭😢So he barely used either camera! They are in like NEW CONDITION!As are the tons of lenses and like 20-30 SD//CF mem cards! He had other cameras but I gave them to one of my sisters Bf.I'm keeping this D90 AND the D300 and I have 7-8 lenses most un-used!I have a Canon Eos Rebel XSI, I never used much also.I like you, LOVE the vibe of nikons colors.I love the"feel"of nikons cams in my hands and the Lcd screen comes in handy on top of their cams! Those 12+mp are more than enough even in 22 to "Get the job done"So to speak, As long as its not being blown up to a super sized poster pics😝I'm glad I inherited both awesome D90 an D300 an all the gear!I'll take great care of them.We have more stuff to go thru at my dads old house still!!Wish he could have gotten out more to take pics mate.Back in the day he was also good with his film cameras too!I saved one and some old 35mm lenses just to have on a display shelf to remember....You stay creative Mr.Davies!!Live long and prosper and keep shooting great pics!I was just on your IG an liked a ton of your pics mate!!🤣😜Subbed to your youtube also!Cya around 👍

After a hiatus of 20 years from photography I picked up a box of old AF Nikkor lenses of various lengths at a yard sale. Box was well sealed and the lenses were in good condition. With the AF motor in the D90. It's the obvious choice. No regrets.

While photography is not my primary income, I do pick up jobs every now and then. I've even done several shoots for a magazine. I wanted a back up camera that wasnt going to cost me an arm and a leg so I picked up a D90 with 22, 000 shots on it a year or so ago for around $150. I've used it in wedding work, for portraits, and personal projects. I love it! There's a warmth to the images it produces that my other cameras don't have. I also use a D700, and a D7100.

I've had a D90 for ten years. Also missing the eye piece :P I picked up a GH5 last year, but I won't lie, I really love how the D90 feels in my hand and how intuitive shooting with it feels. Also, I don't think I've heard another aussie pronounce Nikon like that, lol.

All my D500 lenses work on the D90. You can also use screw drive FX lenses as well. File sizes are reasonable, has a built in flash AND it does video.
