In this free video tutorial, Paul Drew demonstrates how we can use stock reverb plugins found in Studio One, to create polished sounding reverb's. Paul puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of a well timed pre-delay, and how it can help enhance your reverb's, and provide clarity in the mix

I totally agree with your comment on Bobby Owsinski's book, "The Mixing Engineer Handbook." So many little things in this book helped me so much along with the "Studio One Expert" video series. A big shout out to both all you guys, and Bobby.

I love this! I have been looking for something to simply unmuddy --more than Eq on the top and bottom--this is cool.

60 / BPM x 1000 gives you ms per quarter note, double or half the time given to find the rest of the note values.
BPM / 60 gives you hertz for LFOs.

Paul, thank you for the tutorial, it is very informative and will really help in my musical endeavors. The song you were working on sounds great. Can you give any info on it?

Alex, I'll tend to try both then see what sounds better. Sometimes if the vocal has too much high end/ low end information you'll need to cut the EQ before the reverb. Other times it's shaping the reverb for the track, and that's when I would use Eq after the reverb.

Good video. What's your thoughts from crossover points when it comes to fading reverb in the track, making it not so obvious as we could say ?

Cool track do you have a preference of when to use the EQ before or after the reverb inserts

As usual an amazingly informative video you made here. As for the reverb I still have a question left. Is it counterproductive to send the tracks to the bus one by one to allow me a send level option? It doesn't seem to be there when I select all the channels and create a bus for them like that. Am I missing something? THank you in advance!

Hey Paul !! thank you for your videos. Its all easy to understand but i have one question about it: When you put the EQ (fab pro q) after the reverb (open air) --> you'll eq the vocals to, because its a send fx to this FX Channel. So my question is - do you want that? Or is there a way NOT to eq the vocals to? Thank you
