Caladium are such a colorful addition to any container garden or bedding. But they can get quite expensive to buy new every single year. And unless you live where the winters never dip below 40F, you need a strategy to overwinter them.

Years ago I used to store Bulbs dry in sawdust after dusting with a garden Sulphur powder. My Favorite Caladium was: "Frog in a Blender"

If they are grown inside their zone (9+), do they still need a season of dormancy. I’m in zone 6, but would like them as house plants overwinter, but am still curious about their habit in hotter zones. Thank you for the information.
