We had 3 days in D.C. and we're able to see most of what we wanted to. We planned it out and had a list. We used the National Mall app to plan out our "Tours" we saw most of the monuments, went to 2 museums, Ford Theatre, National Cathedral and a short zoo visit to see the pandas. I agree to be flexible with your time. Also don't over do the walking or underestimate the time it will take. We used Metro and Uber.

This is so helpful. We should be arriving Wednesday around noon and leaving Saturday late morning. I’ve been stressing about how much walking there will be and what to do. I’m definitely going to make a list of our top 5 things we want to see and restaurants to hit as we also want to be relaxed and not over do it.

My wife and I just returned from a 3 night stay. I watched every video Rob made, read Frommer's, and countless Tripadvisor reviews. I put a lot of hours into planning my top 16 things to see or do in 2.5 days. Although I'm very pleased that all my research and planning paid off. We got to see and do everything on our list, but it was too much walking. We used Metro rail and bikes a ton. My feet have blisters and if I had another day I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it. My advice is just because there are 24 hours in a day not all have to be marked for an attraction.

Friends from Paris are coming to stay with us for about a week and then going to NYC for about a week. I agree that the 5-7 days is just right since they don't expect to come back for many, many years (if ever). They really like Asian cuisine, so we're going to take them to Annandale, VA (local Korean Town) for a special treat and Sushi Capitol off of Pennsylania Ave, SE.

I would like to thank you for your videos. I just came back from your beautiful city last week. Your videos and advices helped me to make the most of my time. I follow your tips about viewing the museums from top floor to first floor and it makes a diference!!. I bought the metro card as I go and i save money that way it was only left with 0.05 cents. I like this video very much. Yes very. He make it
wonderful. Very good. I was their in July the fourth.
But my son 13 was a little bit ill the footballer and
i saw not so many museums. But we saw the
Lincoln Memorial, and eat nice ice frozen ice and
Washington in the nigth near the white house. It is
a very nice city, so clean and friendly there. Yes and
i like to see the next when i hope to come the african
museum oh and Georgetown with both found it very
nice at the waterfront and to drive with the bus. Yes

I like this we he told people from Washington.
Yes but sometimes the people when it´s very
hot in the summer they can´t see all the
museums. Mmh. Than its better to look other
tings. And important is to listen to the Musiker
they are playing at the front of the station Metro.
Because my son said oh mother look and hear,
please give me a little bit money for the people
who make music. You understand. Ich denke
Führungen auch mal das die Stadt Washington
etwas zeigt außerhalb der Norm, der Museen
würde Menschen wie mich und bestimmt andere
sehr interessieren ja. Also zu sehen wie die Plätze
im Zentrum und von dort fußläufig wie zum
Beispiel einfach mal einen Flohmarkt Wochenmarkt
dort wissen, wo er ist. Dann erhält jeder doch mehr
Qualität von dem Ort der wirklich schön ist. Und
einfach mal Bus fahren nach Georgetown wie Henry
und ich es taten. Dann keinen Parkplatz suchen mussten
und beim nächsten Aufenthalt vielleicht privat unterkommen,
wenn es gewünscht ist und da im Haushalt etwas mithelfen
und sich selber finde ich dann gut beschäftigen denn das
ergibt dann für beide Seiten doch eine Menge Lebensqualität dann. Ja.

Great video and really helpful! Me and my hubby are arriving in DC tonight for a week long stay, it's my first time going to this beautiful city as my husband's been there many times with his work over the years, so he said 'We need to go for a full week and really make a vacation out of it' :) Going for seven days will be great to see everything we want to see and also spend time at each of the sites, landmarks, museums and restaurants. It's amazing just to be able to relax on vacation and be in the moment rather than be hurrying and not taking it all in :)
