The 22.7.1 drivers made Rx470 a beast
Fh5 1080b with high settings, 80fps in game, and I have an i3 7100 only

Was eyeing out an RX 580 2nd hand to replace my RX 470 in case it breaks. Looks like the difference isn't that high at all.

I was thinking of upgrading to an RX 580 8GB from my current RX460 but I think i'll get the RX 470 8GB instead seeing as it's a lot cheaper than the 580 with negligible difference in performance.

Please help me understand 2 observations:
1 why the 580 on higher temps have a lazy fan, when at the same time 470's temps are lowered by increased fan speeds? (is the 580 undercooled or the 470 over?)
2 how come wattage is so different? a handful of fps more from the 580 yet double the power draw
(law of diminishing returns?)

i got a pc with rx 580 8 gb boost up to 1400 mhz with a 9400f processor for 500 bucks i play valorant and cs go over 200 fps and elden ring in 60 changing 2 o 3 options

Essa RX 580 é original "polaris 20", o consumo ta passando dos 150 watts... A RX 470 não chega consumir 100 watts, as RX 580 2048sp do Aliexpress são RX 470 rsrs
