Nothing But Beautiful

A song I wrote on a mission trip to Belize to a little girl in a hard situation to know that she is worth more than gold and that God loves her and cares for her unconditionally.

Child you don’t have to look down, lift your eyes from the ground, don’t you know that
You can be found? Sometimes the hurt opens our eyes, we can see through the lies
When we’re broken inside

So just lay your head down to rest
Jesus turns our broken into our best

You are worth more than gold, don’t believe the lies you’ve been told
Love is more than just hurt and Jesus sees diamonds when we see dirt
He sees through all of our pain, call on Him there’s power in Jesus’ name
When you think you’re worthless nothing at all
God sees a diamond nothing but beautiful

I know that you’ve been through it all, your regrets stand tall and you’ve built a wall
And I bet you’ve ran all your life, your trying to find something more
A light in the darkness, a hope for the poor

But just lay your head down to rest
Jesus turns our broken into our best

You are worth more than gold, don’t believe the lies you’ve been told
Love is more than just hurt and Jesus sees diamonds when we see dirt
He sees through all of our pain, call on Him there’s power in Jesus’ name
When you think you’re worthless nothing at all
God sees a diamond nothing but beautiful
Nothing but beautiful

You are worth more than gold, don’t believe the lies you’ve been told
Love is more than just hurt and Jesus sees diamonds when we see dirt
He sees through all of our pain, call on Him there’s power in Jesus’ name
When you think you’re worthless nothing at all
God sees a diamond nothing but beautiful
Nothing but beautiful

You are beautiful
