5 Steps to prepare for a CSM interview

Are you looking to land a Customer Success role? Preparation for your interview is as easy as following these steps.

1. Research the company you're going to interview with:
– Company size
– Competitors
– Products
– Business outcomes they set to achieve for their customers
– Customer Type
– And which industries are they working with.

2. Get to know your interviewer. Connect with them on LinkedIn if you can.

3. Reach out to people who left the company recently. What is it like working there? They can tell you.

4. Research the number of customers and customer support they have. Do they have a separate account management team and an account executive team? Then you'll have a better idea of what a customer success manager actually does.

5. Watch a lot of interview videos, and come prepared with questions.
