thanks for this video. But i've got a question. Why I should use distributed availability Group and not a geocluster. I can put the for servers in the cluster and I've got the same effct + auomatic failover.

I have configured everything but database is not synchronizing with secondary distributed AG.

I have been waiting for more than half an hour but the new database that I added to the primary cluster still does not synchronize to the secondary cluster. It just does not appear in the secondary cluster.


I have run the command you just mentioned at the beginning of this video to check to status of database synchronization and it shows my new database is in the state "NOT SYNCHRONIZING" to the secondary cluster.


Then I tried to drop the DAG and create again, it finally pushes the new database to secondary cluster. But that does not make sense at all. Any idea about the possible cause of this issue?

Thank you for this fabulous demo. After going through MSFT documents I couldn't build confidence to complete my POC on DAG but your video made an impact and I completed my POC.

Would like to highlight, your example is based on single domain DAG. I may be asking for more.. if you can .. please share idea/ demo, incase one has to setup DAG in different domains.
