PICC was one of the many projects of former First Lady Imelda Marcos. The Heart Center, Lung Center, Kidney Foundation and the Coconut Palace to name a few. She made everything beautiful.

so obviously tinanim sa isip ng mga bata noong early 90’s puro kasamaan panahon ng Marcos at tila ba ito ang pinaka madilim na yugto ng ating bansa, Ngayon halos lahat ata ng pinakitang infrastracture dyan ay kung hindi ginawang private dahil binenta ay sinarado na. it shows how much Marcos love the Philippines by embracing our culture at ipagmalaki sa buong mundo. the fact na nagpatayo ka ng maraming hospital pinapakita lang gano nila ka mahal ang mga Pilipino. i am proud someone like Ferdinand E. Marcos ay minsang naging presidente ng Pilipinas!

I was born on this year which really depics the grandeur, wealth and power of the republic...too bad that we have to suffer from the greed of the liberals who brought what miseries we have now...

World class talaga then..the glamour and formality now we are slowly losing our culture and values due to technology and colonial mentality, I lived in these era as a happy kid: Green Revolution, Love Bus, Nutribun, KB, Family Planning, Metro Aides, NACIDA, as far as I remember what else hehe and our nat'l motto: "Sa ikauunlad ng bayan, disiplina ang kailangan" which is so relevant until now, and is really is .

I was a kid during that year, I remember going to Manila, my grandmother loves to see the MMFF, it's so very green & cleaner then. It was Martial Law, they're strict on littering, no vandalism, but it's so safe to play on the streets, no drugs nor rape news then . . .and yes not smut films . ..

I saw the old Bank of P.I. building where I used to work in the 2nd half of the 70's. It was razed down to give way for PBCom building while BPI bldg was moved at the corner of Ayala & Paseo de Roxas. Those were the days when I was young and full of hope and energy. Thanks Andres for the memory.

I feel ashamed of myself… you know better than me on my beloved country. To me the best years were from 1973- 1976.

if Filipinos want to restore their country they must first ensure that the nation's wealth, the wealth of the people, is not stolen by the elites, both foreign and domestic.

you know Andres in your 8:12 frame. This large Philippine Relief Map was cleverly made. I just notice this after so many times seeing it and realize that there is somewhat hidden "Easter Egg" in this map....if you notice at the left side corner of that inverted Rectangle, there you can see the portion of SABAH (now under Malaysia) which is still being contested by Philippines. .. so if you really unhide the corners of this Rectangle, you can clearly see that SABAH was partially hidden... on alternate history if Marcos was able to claim back Sabah, i guess there will be a slight update to make to only to this map.. hehehe. Marcos really is visionary.

Filipino talent blossomed more in this era throughout the world, even those anti-Martial law people like Jim Paredes produced endearing beautiful music. It was a proof they were not obfuscated in fact culture and arts were promoted by the government.

yes, this is when Philippines is full of pride and still respected by other Asian countries, but now we rank at the bottom of Asian countries.
