The Wisdom of Odin is a vlog of my journey through Norse Paganism, a way to assist others along their journey, and a place to promote a positive image for all of paganism.
While I personally declare myself as a Norse Pagan, I speak on topics that also involve aspects of Asatru, Heathenry, and other pagan identities such as Slavic/Celtic/Germanic paganism.

The Wisdom of Odin is not associated or affiliated with any orginizations religious or politcial in nature. This channel/community is inclusive to all but is also non-political.

All gatherings held through the Wisdom of Odin and its extended community are private events held and organized by the members of the community. The only service the Wisdom of Odin provides is a place to connect with others of similar beliefs in the old ways.

As a German I highly appreciate this video series! For over a decade I've felt drawn to move to Norway and never really made the effort to connect to my home country. Looking at it through the eyes of a stranger and fellow pagan, makes me fall in love with my home! Thank you so much!

I've felt strongly connected to the Norns and would love to learn more about them. Very similar to the Celtic Triple Goddess, Maiden, Mother and Crone of the Lady morrighan. Greek culture also has a similar Goddess of three representing the life cycle. I think I would be quite happy hanging out with the norns amongst the sacred wells and learning much from them 😄❤️

The Norns are my faves…. from my very first journey down Yggdrasil, I found myself at the foot of the tree, sitting with them as they work. The old one was always silent and quietly made tea for me… It took many journeys for me to figure out that she represented my Past and was teaching me to not listen to it and to leave it behind, whilst the most chatty was the Present. The one who always has the best advice for me, I think, must be the Future?

"Men know their doom, but not the hour."

In this, I happen to feel it as a blessing. As you said, we haven't the faintest clue as to when our ultimate fate lies, and with that in mind why fret about it? Just live life up till then as best you can.

Other than philosophy, I can see the roll of fabric to mean the 'mother' portion of the trio. I'm unsure as to the historical accuracy, but mothers back in the day would have been capable of weaving on looms or simply clothing repairs/production.

Keep up the good work, I look forward to your new videos. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions while pushing us to seek out other knowledge and other sources. You really help show that there is no ONE way to live this Norse path, Thank you again Jacob. I genuinely appreciate you and hope to meet you one day at one of your gatherings. May Eir bring good health to you and those close to you.

I worked with the Norns quite a bit at one point in my life, was a wild and extremely powerful point in my life. Thank you for this video, means more than you know, likely to many.

Another great video. I wonder how many great monuments like this I must have ignorantly passed when I was last in Germany.

The northeast of where u are r going through some massive damaging floods. I'm praying to Thor for everyone's safety. And maybe a shout out to the Norns. It's my understanding that it can be quite precarious to reach out to the Norns. I was taught that they can get quite moody. So I'll take that chance. Excellent video as always. Be safe. Skol!

Beautiful place, thank you for showing us. A little bit not on the topic, but I wonder if you are familiar with the works of Maria Kvilhaug aka Ladyofthe Labirint? Recently I've started to read her translation to Voluspa, and it made me to reconcider my previous understanding, it is amasing. As I understand, her translation of the names is more literral, for example, Ymir she translate as a Sound, and the whole different meaning is opening. You might be interesting in using her works when you talk about gods and entities, as one of the possible theories for understanding.

That is really cool. It makes me wonder why this is so public and the Odin statue is hidden, almost in shame.
