2022 was a big year for handheld gaming with plenty of good handhelds at a wide range of prices. In this video, I recap my favorite gaming handhelds of the year.

The steam deck really got me into pc gaming. It may have increased my backlog but it helped me experience some games i would've never thought to play/gotten the chance to play. The odin got me into handhelds to begin with, both of these consoles are great in their own right. I use the Odin pro for cloud streaming/psplay and android gaming/emulation up to wii, ps2 & some switch. And my steam deck fof pc gaming/ps3 & wii u emulation

Steam Deck and RG353m were my two favorite handhelds that released this year.

Steam Deck for obvious reasons; finally getting to play PC games without being tethered to my desk, and the RG353m's form factor and quality are top notch for a pocket sized hand-held. It's not as powerful as others, but any system I can't emulate on the RG353m is something I'd rather play on the Steam Deck anyway.

THE STEAM DECK. I've gotten hooked on editing custom artwork for my games to get a uniform interface. I like the minimalist look of iconic locations with the white title logos at the top. Gaming has been looking good this year.

The Steam Deck, Retroid Pocket 3+, Miyoo Mini, and Trimui Smart have to be my favorites of this year.

Deck can handle my PS2 and up as well as the huge steam library. RP3+ finally has the power I've wanted for that "proper handheld" size since I got interested in all these. The Mini is awesome with Onion and the Smart surprised me by actually feeling durable enough to throw in my pocket when I go to work.

I've had the Odin Lite for a couple months now and I love it for emulation.

It can even run saturn games, which was what I've been looking for in a handheld for a while. Can't wait to replay Shining Force 3.

My personal ones: AYN Odin, Steam Deck, and Switch.

The OLED on the switch is amazing when I can use it. Good for exclusives. The steam deck can play anything, really. That is if you know what you're doing. Odin is best for battery, portability, and performance. Steam deck just covers the rest.

I cannot explain how good the G cloud experience is. Screen and the ergonomics is fantastic. Streaming works perfectly and it runs emulators very well too.
If you can get it on sale then it us definitely worth it

The RP2+ has the be the best retro handheld ive ever used. Its ability to push into gamecube and ps2 territory allows to cut past just about every handheld that comes in at more than twice the price ❤

I'm gonna keep it real, playing my PPSSPP and actually playing persona 3 between last yr in 2021 of January and of more and more this yr I freaking predicted that more handhelds would come and look at the damn powerhouses that gave it that push and power and then boom every neighbor was their own little elf and started working on handhelds and everyone even had their own Christmas regardless of Christmas which was freaking beautiful ☺️😍☺️😌😌😌😌✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

I got a Retroid Pocket 3+ at the start of the month and couldn't get on with the ergonomics. I have owned an RG353p for a few months and that has become my favourite retro device. I also picked up a Steam Deck after selling the Retroid Pocket 3 and I rate this the best handheld since the Nvidia Shield Portable.

I agree that Steam Deck and Odin Pro are the best handhelds in their own respective category.
Additionally, I also like AOKZOE A1 for its big screen and powerful 6800U processor, which can emulate up to XBOX 360 and PS3.
