Don't ever let this customer in, they will take advantage of your kindness. If they cared about inconveniencing you, they would have never asked to shop after you said it's closed.

I love denying customers after hours. My favourite is when they try to come in through our drive through when our lights are off and I can just ignore them while they sit there in the dark for minutes.

This happens a lot. We have a great mechanism on our sliding doors where we can change the setting—the doors will still open on the inside to let people out, but it won’t open for people standing outside.

At my first job my closing manager told us not to engage with anyone after closing time. Didn’t care if you were 5 minutes or 5 seconds late, nope.

I think the employee handled that very well. And sometimes Google is wrong as sometimes they might close early due to holidays in smaller businesses but it doesn't update on Google so you should always go to the website to find out when it opens and closes
