Impeccable taste in favorite movies. lol We share Elf and The Goonies in particular, but I've seen and enjoyed all of these multiple times.

You've got Mail is a remake of a remake. The first one, The Shop Around the Corner, was made in 1940 with Jimmy Stewart. Then in 1949, the made In the Good Old Summertime with Judy Garland and Van Johnson, with a nonspeaking cameo at the end by Liza Minelli as their daughter, because Vincent Minelli directed it. If you watch them all, you'll see the connection between all of them.
