you shouldn't use the little spikes if you are already using that black box it nullifies its own benefits making it just an useless extra step. You should just tap the side to make the grinded beans flat and then press it flatter and put it in the machine

Why would you spray the beans before grinding? You definitely shouldn't ever do that. If anything, you'd do it after it's ground. Good way to f up your grinder
