Already read them, and they're amazing. One of my favorite series. The humor makes every book a joy to read.

"A timeless masterpiece that you need to read." That's it. PERIOD. Discworld is so unique that it feels more than just fantasy. And of course, the humor is pretty much unparalleled imo. Another great vid, Jay. Keep it going!

"Hogfather" is my personal favorite. The Discworld's version of Santa (Hogfather) goes missing on Hogswatch Night (Christmas Eve) and Death takes on the role to keep belief in the Hogfather going while Death's granddaughter, Susan, investigates the disappearance. Death falls deep into the role because people are happy to see him. Highly recommend, I read the novel or watch the movie nearly every Christmas season.

Your voice is iconic. I think you should be an audiobook narrator.

Great segment highlighting a truly gifted, sharp storyteller. I've liked all the Discworld novels I've read so far, and look forward to reading all of them (a LOT of novels!). Thanks, Jay, for yet another Captured in Words entry!

Cool gimmick with the timing. Works perfectly here!!

I started Discworld in March/April with Mort. What can I say, I’m dark and mysterious like that.

I loved it. But had a hard time paying attention as I was going through a lot, and mostly listened to it as an audiobook to fall asleep.

Can’t wait to dive back in and find out more about this zany world sometime soon!!

Just started with Mort, and I can tell Pratchett really does have a unique style that’s just so fun to read. I literally can’t put it down. So glad I started.

Discworld is the best! I've enjoyed these books more than almost any others out there. More people need to give them a read!

I’ve read a few. But “small gods” is by far the best

I love Discworld. I didn’t think I would since I’m not a fan of satire but this works.

The first Discworld book I read (Guards! Guards!) I was kinda like "meh that was pretty good, but I was ready for it to be over". Kinda figured that would be my last Terry Pratchett book at least for a while. But after a couple weeks I found myself missing those characters and that special British humor that he does so well. And now I pretty much always have a Discworld book nearby. Discworld is the type of thing you grow to appreciate more and more as you continue to spend time there.

Finally bought Guards Guards. About to take the plunge into Discworld! Thanks for the recommendation!

The Discworld books will be a lighthearted laugh most of the way through and then hit you with a quote or a moment that permanently alters your brain chemistry.

I read Mort last year and loved it- yet to tackle the rest.

I recently finished the Dark Tower series and am now in need of a new series. Currently about half way through the first book in Wheel of Time but i'll probably check out the first book from Discworld too before deciding which way to go at this time, both seem very interesting.

I just bought the color of magic and have never read Pratchett before but have been told by many that you can sort of jump around but will probably due to my ADD read them all in order xD from what i have been told no matter how i read his books they are all amazing.

I would hazard a guess at having read about half of them, but Pratchett is hands down my favourite author. Favourite books are either Mort or Small Gods. Discovered that I have Pyramids, which I don't think I've read before, so going to be starting that soon.
