Yo, you skimped over the B350 like "oh its midrange" and while it is, it also supports overclocking with all of the Ryzen CPUs being unlocked too. It's a great board/chipset for people who just game on the thing with one GPU (as it also lacks CF/SLI support) and want a little more power from their CPU.

It might not end up being super exciting, but I'm still quite curious to see how the bristol Ridge APUs will end up performing with DDR4, especially with the higher clocked sets.

i'm sad to see that amd is going down the path of locking overclocking based on chipset. that is really disappointing. the whole thing with amd is that they have always been overclockable even if you buy a 50 dollar mobo. maybe the mid range boards wont be to expensive, but i guess only time can tell.

Will Crossfire / SLI die off in a few years? I see AMD / NVIDIA slowly killing it off... you can only SLI on 1070+ up series and now AMD only supporting Crossfire / SLI on X370 boards

Did one of those boards have 2 NICs with one being the killer NIC? If so, someone at gigabyte needs to slap them self a few times. I hate when motherboard makers do that. If you are going to add 2 NICs to a motherboard, then use 2 of the same types, e.g., 2 Intel NICs so that people can at least do teaming (or 2 of any other brand that supports teaming).

Man, I may end up switching to AMD even though i have a Skylake build already. It's only a 6500 and want to get into OCing. My biggest question would be is how the DDR4 for Z170/270 will be with AM4. I ask this because I actually got some DDR4 that was originally for x99 and had some troubles when used in z170. Had to RMA 2 sets of them because it was having issues with the MB. Only after a BIOS and RAM revision did things really settle down and now it runs sweet.
