#100headschallenge
I started the 100 heads challenge to try and improve my quick portraiture skills. This time I wanted to try sketching with color leads so I tried two different brands and I'm comparing them.

Came for the pencil review, but was mesmerized by your sketching. Beautiful work.

Thank you so much for your video and your descriptions of the two different leads. You've certainly helped me decide which is the best for me! 💜

Great sketching skill. Creativity is getting lost day by day but your sketching gave me the feeling that the world is still the known one. Great work...

Nice and interesting video. As for the leads, i can tell, in my experience the UNI Nanodia works better than Pilot ENO, i found them in 0.5 and 0.7, i felt it creamer than ENO and i do share the appreciation that ENO breaks more frecuently. The colors are very similar each other, with little variations, but they all are very beautiful. Great video!

I have been using a purple Uni mechanical pencil today to map out shapes and lines on my heads and I love it very much! I am still going over it with graphite pencil and you can barely see it under the graphite when the sketch is complete. I hadn't even thought about trying to shade with it! That is very cool, I didn't even think you could blend out those pencils so I'll probably give that a try at some point.

I have both sets too! And you're right, the lead for the eno is ... questionable. It snaps so much especially the light blue well at least for me. I find the uni set very weird that its so light because I'm used to something much more weighted but the lead in that is so much nicer.

I love the uni, so I'm glad there's a comparison between uni and pentel because I wanted a yellow coloured graphite, the one colour that uni lacks

You can also use colour theory to combine the different colours with the uni. To make a deep brown I like to combine green, purple, red and orange

This is what I was looking for! Thanks so much for showing how much they can be blended with a blending stump, really needed that info before I decided to buy the Uni ones. Thanks!

really gorgeous portraits! ive never heard of the uni color nano dia pencils but they seem really nice. i have the pilot color eno and col-erase pencils and i like both, but i like that i have 24 colors in col-erase xP

Maybe they changed the Pilot Eno since then because I have never had one break on me. Unlike the Pentel and Staedtler. The last one especially breaks so easy. Which is too bad because it’s such a beautiful red and can get nice and dark. Great for detailing.
So I ordered the Uni hoping it’s as nice as the Staedtler Mars Micro color but without the breakage.

Great review on these! I havent tried them...but they would be great for sketching outlines on a colour pencil drawing, as eraserlines will be easy to lift...tfs! HAGD! .

I hadn't heard of the Uni brand ones before. I've been using the pink Eno lead in a Pentel mechanical pencil and might have to get some Uni leads for detailing.
