My rule for LC's is that its only worth pulling if the LC gives you something that cant be gained by just better stats/gear. For example, FF's lightcone loses value as you just get better BE gear and other sources that just increase break damage, so its still BIS but not a big gap between that and Fall of an Aeon. Archeron's LC is on the opposite end, soley because it gives her another stack for ult charge, which no gear in the game can give you that same effect.

The only LC I find crazy are those with big overall stat boosts like sparkle’s for sparkle and robin LC for dmg and energy, plus help any support become a meme dmg dealer.

IMO Robin's LC is really good if you don't have Bronya's LC, the extra ERR is way more powerful than you think. Being able to ult two times in cycle 0 (once in wave 1 and another in wave 2) is absolutely ridiculous. Her lightcone combined with her even more insane E1 is almost like cheating. I could 1 cycle MoC 12 Kafka with Jingliu E0S0, Gallagher E6S0, E2S0 Bronya and E1S1 Robin, heck I even managed to 1 cycle MoC 11 Gepard and Svarog with freaking Jingyuan. She works with any DPS that is not break or DHIL/QQ, not enough energy ? Slap Gallagher QPQ or Huohuo QPQ and enjoy the very low cycles clears.

There is no real answer to whats actually better. Robins S1 is practically her E2 be cause she regenerates 3 energy per hit. Boothills lc compared to FF is like day and night because of how much value its gives to him compared to FF with hers

Robin’s LC and JQ’s LC are currently the only 2 support LCs that I would personally want to pull on, simply because on their respective characters, they are unmatched in terms of utility on that character.

Otherwise, every support has some alternative you can use to subvert their sig which usually is better for them in most scenarios.

Support = Only the passive matter unless they scale with stats such as ATK for Robin and DEF for Aven.
DPS = Both base stats and and passive matters.

Yeah so DPS cones are usually the better investment just because of the damage increase it can provide for that said dps. Support/harmomy cones as MrPokke mentioned have so many really good alternatives especially with Dancex3 being one of the best four stars cones. They are more of a premium pickup usually providing stats to help build them easier. Sustains are kind of the same way just really good stats and usually a passive that can synergize with the sustain's kit.

Supports typically don't need their LC because their kit provides enough buffs but DPS I would say for their max DMG potential need their signatures.

Any DPS LC that has defense ignore on it will always be worth it, for me at least.

I pulled for sparkles lightcone purely to have more opportunity for comfortable builds cause of crits. Wouldn’t do it again. Do I regret it? No. But I wouldn’t go for support signature lightcones anymore.

And it's probably because dps have more variety changes than supports(well note fully) and i dont mrsn like break vs hp scaling vs atk scaling cause healer and supports do that too like robon needs atk while sparkle needs crit dmg, but i mean that it doesnt matter as much like a signature will probably go like "whenever you ult you gain 99% energy back" vs the standard being "whenever you ukt you gain 80% energy back" big diff but not crazy vs a dps being like "that one special mechanic your character has is buffed by alot" vs standard "you get more atk/crit/hp stats" which your artifacts handle fine usually, like why would you need 32 crit rate eith hunt standard, esoecially since 16% is very situational so you have to be finnicky with your build, and since boothill is like the first hunt to be break focused and not have much atk scaling compared to firefly then his lc options are almost non existent

Tldr; signature for supports usually give general buffs still while dps gives character specific buffs which is better than standard general buffs by alot

DPS LC> Support lc because harmony has the best lc in game which is Dancex3 turn manipulation is the reason they are broken over nihility unit but the problem is DPS lc in this game is very specific to themself while the dps also tend to fall off fast which in turn makes the cost worthless in the future compare to support signature LC since they will always be useful.Unless you’re playing for the future, some LC usually unlock the fullest potential of your dps which in turn endorse my first point

I will just buy a limited LC if it isn't locked by a niche mechanics to that character and i can use it for other characters of the same path as well. In short general useability = great value.

DPS: Pull Lightcone
Supports: Pull Eidolons

It’s as simple as that

Robin and Ruan Mei’s E1 make them broken as fuck, Fu Xuan and Aventurine’s E1 add Crit Value, Bronya makes her SP economy better, Sparkle allows for 100% uptime on her Ult, HuoHuo gives a SPD buff and alleviates her SP economy.

DPS E1’s generally speaking aren’t too crazy. Usually just small stat boosts/QoL. Meanwhile DPS LCs are just disgusting most of the time full of Crit Value, Def Shred/Ignore, Bonus high Priority Stats (Break Effect etc) and for Acheron’s case, literally makes her gain ults faster like cmon now.
