Here's what has worked for me, and damn, does it work to keep women in your DMs.

1. Speak slower, and work on your breathing during conversations.
2. Keep them talking 75% of the time. Stop taking over conversations. People love talking about themselves, and sharing what they know. Take advantage of this.
3. Show them that you are actually listening and interested by bringing up previous facts they've shared with you during conversations. A.K.A "Hey, I remember you said you like this, have you tried this other thing before?". Trust me, people melt in your hands when you show them that you actually give a damn, and that they are important enough to remember what was said during past conversations.
4. Be knowledgeable and try new things often. Imagine someone sharing a fact with you, and you smile and say that you've read, watched, done, or tried that as well. It builds such a bond with that person that you couldn't otherwise have built without the knowledge or experience.
5. Don't be afraid to tease, but do it right. I would never tease someone about sensitive topics, like their body. but I will tease them about light stuff in good fun. Example "So you like hunger games, but not this movie... Did it not have enough murdered children or something?". Great teasing brings a laugh and possibly a shoulder shove if they like you 😉.
6. Use eye contact to your advantage. Let them know you're interested by how much eye contact you hold. Never stare too long, but more eye contact means more interest. It also shows confidence. Also, find ways to naturally break eye contact, like closing your eyes to laugh or to take a sip of your drink.
7. After building a good relationship, begin to treat her like an annoying sibling sometimes. Shake your head disappointedly at them, sigh in frustration, give them that side eye smile that looks like you know a dirty secret about them or that you're calling BS on what they said. I've even flicked a girl off (AFTER BEING FRIENDS FOR AWHILE) when she teased me. she laughed and shoved me playfully Because she didn't expect it.

I would like to add two points:
1. Focus on the learning process. You will not be able to switch to a superconfident mindset by tomorow, but you need to build that confidence day by day. So dont worry if being confident doenst work out for you right at the beginning.
2. Not being desperate does not mean never talking to anyone because you are so indepedent but rather means talking to everyone because it is fun not because you dont need it. It is about delivering a different vibe.
