CANVA PRO:

Direct to Film Printers (DTF Printers) are t-shirt TRANSFER printers

DTF Printers use liquid inks instead of toners or screen print inks (all 3 are vastly different). They appeal to larger custom t-shirt and on-demand personalization businesses.

Commercial DTF Printers are Key.
All of the comparison numbers and convenience of mass-producing dtf transfers are in the high-volume machines.

Single sheet, aftermarket manufactured style dtf systems are far less efficient and have more steps.

There are a few reasons for that:

An Epson color printer converted to be a direct to film machine still prints 1 sheet at a time.

That’s inherently slower than printing on a 24” roll. A commercial printer is inherently faster.

And obviously, buying dtf film one sheet at a time is much more expensive per square inch.

That Epson based dtf printer requires an extra step.

Ditch the sublimation printer and never have to worry about ink ever again!

What about the fact that canva uses RGB colors and DTF prints in CMYK? How do you keep your colors true to the design from canva? When I take a file from canva and place in ai then chnage it to cmyk, the colors change drastically. What type of file do I need or what should I tell them to do during export before printing?

If I'm creating my own designs in Canva then creating the gang sheet later in Canva; do I need to download the PNG at the 3.125 size for optimal resolution? Or only when I download the gang sheet to send to print?
