How Bad is Lexus Depreciation?

Most luxury cars have a terrible rate of depreciation, but the question is if Lexus follows the same depreciation curve as other luxury cars. We'll answer that today and help with your buying decisions as it relates to Lexus cars.

I'll walk you through what the optimal spot is to actually buy a luxury car. It'll be where you get the maximum life span with the lowest overall cost. I'll also walk you through how much the different #Lexus models you can buy #depreciate and what their #depreciation curve looks like. It's an all access pass to understanding Lexus depreciation in full.

The only reason to sell a Lexus is because you want another Lexus as far as depreciation goes it will last more than long enough to get your money's worth out of it

Been a mechanic and shop owner for the past 30 years. Used to drive Mercedes back in the day when they were built like tanks, would run for ever. Now I only buy and drive Toyota products. Just bought my wife a Lexus rx350 model. Great cars. Drive a s430 on trips, like on a cloud. Thanks for letting me go on.

Lol wow, I just bought my first Lexus 2 weeks ago, 2015 RX 350. My neighbor across the street from me owns 3 Lexus. I asked him why he has 3 of them and he told me how reliable they are. He said that's the only vehicle he will buy. I was sold, so I bought one and I freaking LOVE IT!

I bought a used 2004 RX 330 with 41k miles on it for 11k dollars in 2011.
I drove it clear up to 300k miles. The car was wrecked in the front (very minor), had a bad knock sensor, and the transmission was very sketchy. I still got 5500 for the car for trade in WITHOUT having to buy a car from the car dealer that bought it.
I paid 5500 to drive that car for 8 years.
And it was really nice before the accident a week before I traded it.
I now have a 4th generation RX and 3rd generation IS.

Bought my ES300 Brand new in 2002. Now with almost 200, 000 miles on it it still runs like the day I bought it. Lexus makes the most reliable cars on the planet.

Great video, I bought an 08 LS460 last year for 13k with 85k on the odometer. I drive 20, 000 miles per year, and this is a fantastic car!

Buy cars just when they come off warranty. Ordinary people overvalue warranties, though if the car is a BMW or Cadillac you are gonna want to have the warranty.

I used to be a petrol head. Now, late in life, I realize I know nothing.!!! Having just purchased a 2005 (yes, 14 years old!) LS 430, I may have found the best car in the world. It may have 83000 on the clock but folk tell me it is barely run in. All the other cars I have owned were falling apart at this mileage. A new Jaguar 4.2 I purchased in 2005 broke down 4 times in the first 30k miles. Main stream cars, well, a total waste of money. Thank you Lexus and Toyota for giving us vehicles from the heart, and thank you ExoticCar PlayPlace.

Currently own a RCF. Owned ISF and GS350 in the past. They had bulletproof reliability. Love my RCF. Nice to see RCF coming up in Men in Black Movie.

I found when looking for my lexus that 3 years was the sweet spot. I was able to find a large quantity of cars that were just turned in from their lease and that ranged between 15-30k miles on them. They drove like new though. I ended up spending a few thousand more to get a car with only 13k miles on it and it's basically feels like I just drove it off the lot new. On top of that, I saved 20 grand. Win win win.

My grandma still drives her 2006 Lexus LX470 she bought brand new 14 years ago. It has never given her any problems. All she has ever done for the LX is oil change, replace brake pads, and the timing belt/ chain. She gets oil change every 6 months for her LX470, a bit extreme and wasteful but she likes it that way. It looks brand new although it already has 150, 000 miles now. One time the service manager thought my grandma's LX470 was in service for sales inspection before it can be put on the dealer's lot for sale. so he wanted to buy. The service consultant who serviced my grandma's LX470 told the service manager that the SUV is in for oil change service and that it's not for sale. Few people have asked my grandma to sell her LX470 to them but she said no. I hope she'll give it to my when she's ready to buy a brand new Lexus LX570.

Agree! Picked up a Lexus RC 350 F sport July 2018 with 26K miles for $31000. It was a lease return. Plan to keep it until it dies....
