Wan Basaka faced a similar situation. He stayed quiet and earned his place back.

One thing I know for sure...

Sancho hasnt done a damn thing at this club to have credit of being backed over the manager..

I find it truly funny those Ronaldo fan boys want to jump to defend Sancho lmao..
In Ronaldo's interview, he literally said Young players at United are not serious.. WHo do you think he was talking about?

I don't know how anyone with a brain can blame Ten Hag in this situation. If Sancho hadn't responded, no one would have even noticed. This is after he was given 3 months break last year for his mental health, plenty of managers would have declined. Ten Hag didn't even make him a scapegoat.

Mad that buvey is 100% right when talking about United here. Never happened before

In any other job if you got called into the managers office and the manager said “your performances aren’t up to scratch and you’re not putting in enough effort” and your response is “I am actually”, you’d be sacked on the spot. You’re essentially telling the manager that your best isn’t good enough.

The fact he’s on £300k+ a week is disgusting, he’s achieved absolutely nothing in the game and has an incredibly high opinion of himself, not sure if Pep was the manager at the time but I remember him demanding to start for city back when he was 16.

Guess that’s the difference between well run clubs and Manchester United, none of the top clubs wanted him at dortmund because you can bet they’d done their due diligence on the kid’s attitude and mentality.

Ten Hag was asked why Sancho wasn’t in the squad and he answered honestly. That isn’t anything close to “slagging off” like Buvey claims

United put Sancho in the Champions League squad after the drama. They fully intend for him to play again this season.

Look at Manchester United right now and for the last ten years, they have become a meatgrinder of footballing talent

one of the biggest problems at Man Utd is player power. Maguire and Sancho this season alone have proven that

0:29 Just shows how statistics can be deceptive tho right...?
Messi might've had worse stats when he turned 20
but he was also runner up to kaka in the 2007 fifa world player of the year lol
People always forget how Messi was in the conversation for the greatest on the planet even before the goals and assists started happening...
Shows just how many levels above everyone else he was at his peak

Some times buvey gets its spot and it’s so simple, as a united fan I wish he was wrong, but he summed it up “he’s just lazy” simple! Get the f out of my club!

Wonder how many players are in that list who went to United in their peak form, post 2012 and instantly dropped off
Except Zlatan, De Gea you can almost put everyone in that list

Ten hag called him out, in my opinion, because this was his last resort. Sancho was given MONTHS off last season to get himself right...yet still was terrible coming back. What else is he supposed to do. I applaud the decision. Top clubs need top mentalities in the squad. Sancho is obviously not that

People use Sancho as a way to circle jerk the PL. ''Not good enough for the PL, was good enough for the Bundesliga.'' I think thats unfair to say. I wouldn't be surprised if mentality issues were a reason. Some players are just not built like the elite players that always stay hungry.

I always say that there's different levels of mentality in football. Some players have enough mentality to make it out of the youth teams. Some players have enough mentality to break through into the first team. Some players have enough mentality to follow up on a good debut season. Some players have enough mentality to stay hungry to earn a big transfer with a big sum of money and are still mentally strong enough to keep their level of quality up at their new club.

While others just get complacent, start earning a lot of money and the hunger disappears. Some maybe let the fame go to their heads. While some maybe can't handle the spotlight.

I remember how Van der Vaart spoke about there being players in the Ajax Youth Academy with him that were levels above him in terms of raw talent. However, they never made it into the first team because they simply lacked the mentality for it. Van der Vaart did have that mentality. However, even with Van der Vaart, who had a great career, he still suffered from mentality issues himself because his fitness wasn't always up to par and also started having issues with his weight.

With Sancho I really wouldn't be surprised if it was a mentality issue. Just look at him responding to his manager after his manager tries a classic way of motivating his player. By giving him a bit of critique in the media. Players with good mentality get annoyed and upset by that, but they keep it to themselves and then show their managers they are wrong by pulling off great performances. This has happened a lot before.

Imagine going to work and going to ur boss and they say you need to work harder and you reply with “yeah but others are doing bad too” just shows your mentality. Sanchos an egotistical person. He thinks he’s amazing. For some reason that United dressing room is full of egos that need to be under control.

Sancho could have just put his head down and worked hard, instead he had a winge and started some random conspiracy. Was a huge fan of him aswell, what a disappointment

Aside from Rashford (who's only ever known Utd life) I can't think of a Man Utd player post Fergie who doesn't wholeheartedly regret signing for Man Utd. Not even just "ahh whatever" I mean you can full on say they would do anything to go back in time and not sign and most have even outright said it. Baffled me how any youngster pre Sancho would choose Utd but now even with no other offer on the table no youngster should be choosing Utd over another club.

Why do people keep using the rashford situation, literally not even close to the same thing lol being late to a meeting is very binary you’re late or you’re not, where as meeting a level is subjective, sancho may of felt he played just as well as anyone else in training, rashford couldn’t possibly think he was on time if he wasn’t

Sancho was supposed to be the next heir to Sané at The Etihad, but sadly it will always remain to be a what if moment
