I will be doing a separate video with an in depth look on the World between Worlds. There is so much more to it than just the ability to travel in time. Look for that soon!

Okay, so, regardless of whether or not what Ezra did is what we want to call Time Travel, it won't make the differences you're suggesting. There's actually a fair bit of professional philosophy done on the prospect of time travel (see David Lewis) and all of it concludes that, while it may be possible to go to the past, it's not possible to change events in any way from how they already happened. If we've seen an event on the screen or read it in the books, that's the way it went and that can't be changed. What *can* happen with this type of feature is for characters at one time to contribute to the bringing about of a previous event - but, again, crucially, that means that when that event happened in it's own time, that future character *was already there helping to bring it about*. And this is all kosher with what we saw in Rebels. Ezra didn't *change* Ahsoka's fate, he simply enacted his role in the way of things when it came that time to be. That means, specifically, when Vadar fled after fighting Ashoka in season 2, **season 4-Ezra was there** - as in, in that episode (or at least present "off screen"). Remember, we never saw what happened to Ahsoka when the temple exploded. Why not? Cus they didn't want to give us the spoilers that gets saved. Conveniently, she chooses to be put back right where he took her from and we're left undestanding that she survived the explosion and, like so many theories, has been in hiding/exploration/doing whatever that chick does in secret for the rest of the series, which we already suspected anyway. We just needed to know how she lived. Now we do.
Also conveniently, Ezra did not save Kanan. Stories reason? Ezra knew that Kanan needed to stay and save the Ghost. Scientific reason? It already *happened* that Kanan died - Ezra couldn't change it if he wanted to.
Also also conveniently, Ezra chose not to go to his parents again. Ezra's reason? He needed to learn to let them go. Scientific reason? Ezra already grew up without them - he couldn't unparadoxically alter events that already actually occurred.

Honestly, the best thing we could hope for is Wolverine sent back into the past to warn the Professor....nvm on that one. We send Owen Reece back into the past to warn John Connor....nvm on that one also. MAN! Joking aside, we could get the events of the End of the Golden Age of the Old Republic, when the Grey Jedi believed in the Potentium, which basically serves as the Protestant movement for the Jedi, creating the Grey Jedi instead of Catholicism. Mind you I know Jedi are based upon Taoist and Buddist monks, I just did a paper on that, so the analogy is ripe.

....imagine watching Count Dooku being trained by Master Yoda, and later taken on as a padawan learner? The Grey Jedi were targeting Aristocrats and Wealthy families to have their force-sensitive children trained by the Grey Jedi, rather than the traditionalists. The Jedi Order believed that the Grey Jedi were secumbing to the Darkside, which drives a wedge between the Jedi over the matter. This is perfect time for political movement of a young and brash Sith Apprentice, Palpatine, who is being trained by Darth Plagues the Wise. That would set a whole new series of fresh "cannon" about an old character that we know will one day turn to the dark side, just as we knew all along that Anakin would become Darth Vader, seduced by the Dark Side.

I liked the way they revealed the time travel force power because if they would have introduced it like having someone go back in time to save the whole cast would have seem like a cop out but they did it in a way where one of the most beloved star wars characters gets to live in future content

Currently, the Gateway is the only known way of influencing the past (which I personally don't see as "Time Travel" as you don't travel through time but simply see events from a place where time has no meaning). And since not even Sidious managed to gain full access to it, it seems to be up to the Force who gets to go into the Gateway. And up to now, that seems to be a very very very small number of people, so I highly doubt it will be seen too often.

And there was me thinking that Star Wars would never have that sort of thing. If they keep it small and uncommon, then I'm OK with it.

I already imagine all this discussions about killing baby Palpatine, helping Luke to kill Kylo, etc

I would pull Palpatine out of Shmee right as he is about too...and force him into into the other hole instead. Done, no chosen one, Shmee has a slippery poo the next day and bobs your uncle. Of course, Palpatine would just try again with another one of his hundreds of women to create "A chosen one". The Sith learned it the most frequent: If at first you don't succeed, try try again....for another chosen one of course.

And Ashoka is alive but stuck in the sith temple so... She's as good as dead

In my opinion time travel was never impossible in star wars considering Jedi and sith used the force to try to look into the future but I'm glad the time travel concept is finally officially introduced in the STAR WARS FRANCHISE

We saw Ahsoka walking through the triangular "door" at the very end of Season 2 after her battle with Vader. So it is very likely that no praradoxes were created as she was back in her time and only left the boundries of time for a few minutes/hours. In short: Everything happened as it was supposed to happen.

Makes you wonder who else has manipulated events in time. Has it always been controlled by the Mortis Gods?

So if time travel exist in Star Wars then why don’t the Jedi or the sith or anyone in general tried to use it

As much as I'm glad they introduced this concept, I hope this is the last time we see time travelling. It was a nice touch but I feel future writers of shows and books would use this as deux ex marchina to solve all their problems. Just let Dave Filoni deal with time travel stuff.
