What do you get if you mix the souls-like nature of Bloodborne, a hint of Transformers, chilling spooks, Portal and Giraffes? No, not Numberwang, but this video!

Here are five driving (and sometimes racing) video games that are weirder than an art exhibition of used mattresses.

There is method behind our madness, however, as some of these are actually brilliant.

Let us know in the comments below if you know of more driving games that are as weird - we challenge you to find something stranger than What The Car?

I was hoping you would include Car Quest. A game where you're a sentient car going through strange worlds collecting batteries.

Pacific Drive is my favorite exploration game this year, along with Caravan Sandwitch as a close second

Never knew that Drive SF could have been even weirder - love that game, shame Ubisoft killed it.

Try 'You Suck At Parking' and perhaps 'Clustertruck', although the latter is more of a parkour-game and you never control a vehicle. - But since there was a game where you controlled a character as well, that might as well be in it too.

Oh man I could suggest a ton, but ill stick to A. Roundabout, a game about a Limo driver that can only spin in circles, B. Choro Q (really a whole series, but the ones where you live your life as a car and talk to other cars in an open world to accomplish tasks fits tbe bill the best), and C. Omnibus, a game about driving a bus that can plow through anything but can't stop, all seem like good options to cover. But seriously this was a fun video, i hope you guys make more!

Definitely Road Trip Adventure on PS2. Like Gran Turismo if the cars were sentient and has a massive open world (Apparently it was called Choro Q in other markets)

I'm glad I have my own physical copy of Driver: San Francisco for the XBox 360 considering that it's one of only a handful of games with licensed cars that is included in backwards compatibility mode with XBox Series X (should I ever get one).

It's a bit lower on the weirdness scale than anything mentioned here but I always found it amusing how one of the "Heart Attack" mode girlfriend requests in OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast involves solving Grade 1 or 2 math equations by running into the correct answer with your Ferrari. It's an educational game now.

You should put the title of the game on screen for the duration of its section, so we don't have to scroll back to know the name of the game.

Unless that's what you want us to do all along for some reason?

Driver died because san Francisco was a classic example of if it broke don't fix it
