Shinn best advantage here was "unlimited continue" from impulse.
The moment he uses Destiny and lost that one advantage, he's as good as dead

This fight really show how versatile and powerful the impulse is when it's use right. You literally have a mobile suit that can replace itself theoretically infinitely and can adapt to any battle situation. Shame that they didn't carry this feature into the destiny (I imagine trying to put a nuclear reactor into a core fighter would be a nightmare)
