I agree they should have both types of docks for the transmitter and let the customer choose.mind you I use an Ipod touch and I hate this transmitter as it dosnt always connect and some time connects 5-10min in and reverses steering servo every now and then.

I have videos explaining batteries, but it all depends on your models motor and esc, I will look up the model for you and get back to you on its recomened and max batteries for you.

Ohoh!!!, I went ahead and ordered a traxxas slash ultimate 4x4. Looks like I won't be using a iPhone or iPod with the TQI docking base. There always have been software update issues with the iPhone, I don't update my iPhone any more because I usually end up reloading deleted apps or phone numbers because of updates deleting or throwing them out of order.

the tqi isn't designed to do rear wheel steering. if you want constant rear wheel steering it is posable by connecting your second steering servo in to the second channel 1 spot this is reversed to the other channel 1 spot. then on the servo place the control rod closer to the centre of the servo as things like rear wheel steering is more of a mechanical set up than a remote set up.

@Slash Racer aha i want to ask you about something because im beginner on RC cars XD i have traxxas funny car but i dont know which is the best battery i must use so can you tell me your opinion?

ok I have looked up the traxxas funny car. looks like you can run a 3-cell (3S) li-po as your max, how ever you need to have a special charger for Li-po batteries, for a NIMH set up you can run 8 pack (the number of batteries in pack), Your motor in your car cant go able 12Vs which very standard. how ever I reomened personally as a beginner to run a NIMH 6 pack because with less power means less speed and less repairs.

no idea I use a Ipod touch, it just has some issues connecting between that and the transmitter, isn't a huge issue because I only need telemetry when setting up isn't that important during racing don't get time to look at it.
