Changing Rear Axle Bushings (Ford Fiesta Mk6/Mk5)

I Heard some loud knocking coming from the rear of the fiesta mk6, I needed to get the car aligned anyways, so i took the car to halfords for a quick alignment and a safety check, they saw the rear axle bushings were worn and moving in their housing.

Spoke to my mechanic about 18 months ago regarding a squeaking issue at the rear & I suggested it could be a bushing issue. Was told "I can't hear anything don't worry about it" 2 MOTs with the same mechanic later & now it's clunking. Time to change my mechanic!!

So how did you get the Bush in. You haven't shown that.

My prefacelift van just snapped around the bushing apparently it’s a common problem on the pre facelifts

The bushes area nightmare to get out and in. A really bad job to do. The rear axle is all over the place when any sort of force is being used to remove the bushes. Pay someone to do it who has a lift.

Clickbait ... It's an easy job doing these bushes, his mate probly did the bushes cos he's useless at spannering, much like doing a video & editing himself out of it.
