Another reasons for inequality can be :- 1. Colonial mentality of growth - where growth is restricted to some regions.
2. Mineral rich states have not been able to provide prosperity to local peoples ---- more supply of labour as a result less income --- creates inequality.
3. Lack of investment in labour intensive sector.
4. Government job mentality - Government jobs are inherently less paying job.
5. Import dependency - No job creation for local peoples.
6. Lack of incentive to innovative and entrepreneurial mindset - no new asset creation.
Sir are my points worth mentioning.

Some more reasons of rising inequality:
1. Distorted political discourse - poor being fed with freebies and rich being helped with desirable policy changes.
2. Weak societal order based on caste and economic hierarchies - weakening social mobility.
3, Lack of innovation and minuscle public expenditure on R&D.
4. Youth running after employment than being an employer.
5. Over golrification of government jobs.

Solution for Income inequality can be
1. Creating Manufacturing hubs where large scale employment is created leading to growth of the region
2. As 60% of Population engaged in agriculture, Agriculture should be modernised by means of providing targeted Skills and knowledge to farmers
3.Creating dozens of Cooperative societies like Amul promoting large scale exports of horticulture products
4.Biotechnoloy should be promoted and govt should do logical and limited experiment with modified crops
5.Govt should invite foreign companies to provide required skilling in certain areas
6. Corruption should be addressed and all these schemes and programmes must be strictly implemented.
7. The NEP is assertive policy and expected to yield marvellous results ..It should be implemented ASAP to create human capital from school itself
7 Govt should increase the Capital expenditure and reduce the revenue expenditure by privatising the non essential and loss making industry to give those sectors a better push such as Govt should privatise the Cleaning process, waste management in India, i guess it will be strict and people will fear creating more trash

Rising inequality can also be attributed to prevalent societal structure manifested in form of patriarchy and hierarchial caste system that restrict the mobility.
As Former RBI Governor Raghuram rajan pointed out religious orthodoxy and economic growth can never go hand in hand.

Other reasons of inequality -
Regressive direct taxation policy- exemptions, low corporate taxes etc.
Loopholes in taxation systems exploited by rich corporates to hold on to profits . Eg- BEPS

Other reasons can be :
The market in reality hasn't been open to all. The difficulties in entering and exiting market is difficulty, leading to market capitalisation by few and leading to inequalities.

Other Reasons for inequality:
inadequate implementation of govt schemes that promote inclusive development (due to middle men )
Increase in consumerism in the newer emerging middle class that discourages any asset creation and there by capital formation
