Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned following weeks of protests over job quota reforms, according to Bangladesh High Commission officials in Delhi. The Daily Star reported that Hasina left Dhaka on Monday for a "safer place," with Reuters indicating she will arrive in India today. News agency AFP reported that she and her sister have vacated Gono Bhaban, her official residence. A source close to Hasina mentioned that she intended to record a speech but was unable to do so.

India needs to be highly alert and watchful.
